Oil Flow:

This engine has a four stage internal oil pump. Two stages for pressure outlet going to each bank, and two stages for scavenge inlet coming from each turbo.

The funky 3 hole flange is cast into the turbo flange and is where the oil from the turbo drains and the oil pump scavenge inlet. I'm swapping the small twin turbos to a single 66mm BorgWarner turbo, only 1 drain.

The second turbo pressure and scavenge ports will be plumbed to an oil cooler, reservoir, then back to scavenge inlet via these -12AN fittings I fabricated. They bolt on where the turbos used to fit. In typical VW fashion, there's 4 bolt holes, but they are symmetrical and only 3 are used on each side. Thanks VW. This should allow oil pressure at odd angles for longer than typical.
